School
James Buchanan High School:
I attended high school 2018 and graduated in 2022. In high school I graduated with a 3.7 GPA. I also was a two-time letterman for varsity baseball.
Lycoming College:
Out of high school I attended Lycoming College studying biology. My freshman year I finished with a 3.16 GPA. I also was an NCAA athlete the year I attended there.
Penn State Mont Alto:
After my freshman year of college, I attended Penn State Mont Alto. I switched up my major to Information Technology. I have obtained a 3.7 GPA combined with major and non-major classes. I have competed two years here as a USCAA athlete and plan to play my final year here as well. I have received academic all-conference award every year that I have played. I also received an all-conference honorable mention award.
Work Experience
I worked two internships for the same company out of Reston, Virginia called Synergy BIS. They are a government contractor that has contracts with the Coast Guard, Air Force, and USDA are some of their biggest ones. I worked on their Coast Guard branch of the company for both internships. Both of my internships required me to obtain a Public Trust clearance to work with low level government documents.
Tech Writer Intern:
This internship was working a ton in Microsoft Word. Each system that was running for the Coast Guard has documentation that goes along with those systems. My tasks were to update the documents to the newest names and standards, proofread and format documents, and certain systems I had to split bigger 10+ page documents into smaller 3-5 page documents in order to make them easier to read. The internship project that I had to work on while I was there was an acronym list. In the government acronyms are used constantly and not knowing one made things confusing. They had me make a list and order it from A to Z and categorize them into where they work within the Coast Guard.
Application Development Intern:
In this internship I worked with different people across the team I was assigned to learn what they were doing and help them with tasks that needed to be completed. I had to opportunity to chat with people from the project manager to an actual application developer. The one that stuck the most is the tasks that I had to help the scrum master with. All the planning using Jira and creating the tasks and user stories that apply with those tasks. I also had the opportunity to work on a Microsoft PowerApps project that allowed me to develop a low code/ no code app that was used to show the condition of the equipment on the Coast Guard cutters.

Relevant Classes
Website Design | MIS 387:
This class was all about building webpages. We used different ways to build them. We started working in CodePen and Sublime Text building things using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Then we built this ePortfolio using Word Press and I used a plugin called Elementor to make editing this ePortfolio easy.
IT Project Management | ETI 302:
This class was based on working on a project selected by the professor. The project that we were given is an AI powered chatbot to help the Social Security Administration answer more calls and drop call handle times down. We were provided a blank doc that had sections like “Project Scope” and “Project Resources” and we had to finish parts of the document within our 2-week sprint. This class was to get us used to working as a team on a project and talk and act like a business professional.
